A Trip I Went

          It was a friday. We had arranged to on a trip. So we got up early in the morning. Mother prepard the breakfast. Then a bus came to our to our house. We started our trip  at 5.00 a.m in the morning. Our father mother and  brother participated to kurunegala. Then we went to kandy. We saw the  temple of tooth and then we went to preadeniya botonical garden. There we sang sons and took photos of beautiful place. It was a nice place. Then we had our lunch. We eat ice cream also. Then we went to see ambuluwawa.

                                                                     It was a dangerous place . After that  we felt very tried. So we drank tea, Then it was about 4.30 a.m in the evening. Then we stated to come back home. It was anice trip.  I felt very hoppy.

My class teacher is very beautiful. she ears nise  sarees  and shoosh. she is 32 years old. she  has  long hair.  Nirangala teacher is married.  Small baby has my teacher.  my teacher hunbun is  Doctor.  Nirangala teacher learning us seience.  she said us to go ahead. she say us all time we are good  she teach is very wel.  my class teacher is not come to school. Iam very sad.  she is love us.

……My scool name is Nikawawe central collaeg. It is very beautiful. my scool has 1000 children and 60 teachers. It has one Computer room and two Laboratary . Reading  Libray in my school. Mrs. S.B Dissanayaka is my school principal. My school  beind the Hospital a beautiful tank.  Temple of Nagala for ward our school. Small Playground and large playground has in my school. GEMS

……Sri lanka hsa been famos hor gemstones. It is an important export trade to day. Many areas in the Sabaragamuwa province are well know for gems. Rathnapura is the most  important region for gems. Rthnapura means the ”city of gems”. It has gem museums displaying the wide range of gems , available in the country. The blue sapphire is the king of sri lanka gems. The 400 carat blue sapphire called ”Blue bell” which adorns the british crown is from srilsnks. The craft was handed down form father toson. Now women too work in the gem trade.

POTTERY

……Post ary made of clay . Pottery is a living craft that relates veary much to the life  of srilanka small votive lamps , Decorative ornaments and various cooking  vessels of clay are veay popular. Even though there are many new ideas in this field many potters still employ traditional methods. Most of the pottery is made on a rotating disk that the potter  keeps turning . It’s called is potter’s wheels. It is a fast turning wheel. A lump of clay is piaced on this wheel and then the pottr forms a pot by turning the lump of clay. Decoration to the pot is done by incising patterns or stamping with  dyes while the clay is still wet. pottery is now used mostly for decoration.

THE IMPORTANCE OF NEWEPAPERS.

……….Newspapers are of great importane. They give us the  news of our own country. They also give us the news of other countries. Newspapers tell us what is happening here and abroad . Reading newspapers improves our knowledge. We can gather much infomation by reading a newspaper . You can use  your free time to read a newspaper. Reading newspapers is a favourite hobby of many. There are many Sinhala , English , Tamil newspapers . News  about deaths , Weather , Advertisements , Flights or Currency  rate is of special interest to many . A nawepaper helps us to sellla house or a vehicle or find aland or ajob through its adver tising  pages. You can become a great joumalist  becauseof a newapaper. Then, you’ll be well known and respected in your own country or even abrad . You can write letters to the  Editor of a newspaper on any subject of interes. It many be your complaint against any injustice in society . The editorial of a newspaper is keenly read by many. Thousands of a people are employed in newspaper offices. Newspapers do a great service to mankind. All should read newspapers. Anewspaper is a must for all.

………..Masks are also imaginative creations of the village craftsmen coming down from anciend times. Masks are mad of wood and used for rituals and folk plays. Masks are  arved by craftsmen according to patterns approved by custom and tradition. Ambalangoda is famos for its mask making industry.

We can gather much infomation looking a televition. youcanuse your free time to watchingatelevition. Watching televition is a favourite hobby of many. You can write articalesto the Editor of a talevition on any subgect of interest. Thousands of a people are employed in televition office. A Televition is a must for all.

OUR ENVIRONMENT

          The environment is the surrounding around us. Water , air , trees and land beings are the parts of the environment. To day environment pollution has become a major problem. pople pollute the water by mixing poisonous chemicals and waste matter. Air is polluted  by mixing smoke and poisonous. gasses issued throgh the chimneys of large factories. Land is polluted by collecting garbage. people cutdown tree in a careless manner. They never think of the bag effects of it. We get the most needed rain because of the trees. Trees help not only to the man but also to the animals. Birds build their nests on trees. Trees stop the soil erosion. Let’s protect our environment.
