MY MOTHER

    Mother gave birth to me. She fed me.  She  is the best woman in the world I know. Mother protects her children. She shows the correct way  for them. She  works hard for  her children. The most valuble thing in the world for a mother is her child.               My Mother is Mis. Sudarma Athapaththu.  She is very kindand beautiful. she is eight brother and three sister. She 35 yeas old. She mother is Mis. Heemmanika. She father is Mrs. Punchibanda. My Mother village is Kandi. She favoruit food is Milk rice. She favoruit dink is cool drink . She favoruit colour is pink. My Mother favoruit fruit is Apple, Rambutan and pine apple. She favoruit birds is Lincolns sparrow. She favoruit flower is red rose.  My Motherhave long hair. She is fat and .My Moher is hose wife……I LOVE  My MOTHER.

AN EDUCATIONL TOUR

Last saturday we went onan education tour to colombo. We went by a private coach. There were sixty students and five teachers for this trip. We left KURUNEGALA  at about 630 a.m. We stopped at NITTAMBUWA. To have our breakfast. After having our breakfast we proceeded to coiombo. We could reach colombo at about 10.00 a.m. First we visited the colombo harbour. There were several ships that had come from various parts of the world. Most of them were cargo ship. Then we went  to the museum. Then we saw many ancient things of historical importance. Some of them were the ancient weapons, utensils, implements and dresses used by our ancestors. Our teacher explained us aboud these things after that we went to the viharamahadevi park.We had our lunch there. After having our lunch, we rested for some time. Atabut 2.00. p.m. We went to the planetrium. There we were able to gain  knowledge aboud the solar system. At aboud 5.00 p.m. We started our return journey. We could reach KURUNEGALA at about 8.00 p.m. We will never forgrt this enjoble tour.

A VISIT TO SEA BEACH

……Last sunday we went to our uncle’s  house in NEGOBO. His house near the  SEA-BEACH. My father, mother, brother,sister and I went there I walked along the beach with my brother, sister and two cousins. The were lot of sea shells on the beach. Wecollected them and put them in to bag. The white sand on the beach was very chean. We saw some little children building play house on the beach. We aloso young me splashing water at one another. We were not allowoed to bathe in the sea. We saw some sea gulls flying  over the coconut trees. We also saw several boats. The sun was very hot at that time. So we came back home. We enjoyed ourselves  VERY MUCH on this day.

MY HOBBY

        Everyone of us should have a hobby. Then only we can spend our leisure in a useful manner. My Hobby is gardening. It is an interesting hobby. It has many advantages. I have planted various kinds of fruits and vegetable in my garden. Some of the fruits are guave, pineapple, pomegranate, woodapple, orande and mango. Some of the vegetables are raddish, tomatoes, pumpkin, cucumber, brinijals, ladies fingers,drumsticks and wing beans. I spend about three hours in my garden every morning.I pull out weeds. I water and manure the vegetable beds. I use compost manure . I don’t use artificial manure. It is a nice sight to see fruit trees laden with fruits. Birds butterflies come to my garden. They make my gargen beautiful. My father, mother and brother too help me in my hobby. We can eat fresh fruits and vegetable because of my hobby. Also I can earn some money by selling them.11 one

              My counter is sri lanka. It is an island in the indian ocean. Itis also called the    pearl   of    the  Indian Ocean. This is an Agricultural country. Most of the people are farmers. Our staple food is rice. There are several communities in my country. They are the are sinhalese,the Tamils, the Muslims and the Burghers. The peopulation of Sri Lanka is about 19 millions. Our main exports are food, cloth and machiney. Our main exports are tea, rubber and coconuts. Our Country became a Republic in 1972. We gained indendence in 1948. Now we are afree nation. SRI jAYAWARDENEPURA KOTTE is the capital of Sri lanka. Our commeracial capital is colombo. piduruthalagala is the highest mountain and Mahaveli is the longest river.We have atropical climate. Sri Lanka is famous throughout the World as a tourist paradise

An Exhibition

Last week there was an exhibition in my school. Aii the exhibition.were made by student in grade six,seven and eght. Some boys made model aeroplanes,spaceships,ships,trains,buses and motor care.Some boys made paper dolls,paper masks and paper puppets. The other boys madr coie brushes,coir rags, coir mats and coir bags. The girls made some usetul household linen and some ornaments,some girls made tea-poy covers and tea-cosies.Some girls made tru cloths,chair-backs cushion covers and pilow-ship.The other girls made paper flowers,cloth flowers and shell ornaments. After the exhibition wesold all the exhibitions. We hope to repair all the broken water taps with this money.

A Visit to the zoo

During the last school vacation we went to the zoo. we left samagipura at about 6.00 am. we could reach Dehiwala at about 9.00 am. first we bogh tickets at the entrance. Then we entered the zoo. we saw many animals,birds,snakes and fish there. There were elephants,tigers,lion and bears. They were kept in strong cages. we walked along the lanes inside the zoo. we saw camels,horses, giraffs and zebras too. There was aseparate section for the birds.There we saw various kinds of parrot, mynahs, peautiful. In the evening we were watch the elephant dance. It was very interesting. At about 6.00 pm we came back It was a very enjoyable trip.
